Warehousing and storage


 
  • In June 2009 Astra Logistic Ltd. moved to the new  modern logistics center located in the recently constructed warehouse complex «Elipse – BLC». This complex finds itself  in the territory of business park of the international airport Riga (RIX). This factor has significantly expanded business opportunities of the company.

  • Warehouse total area is 9000 м²:

  • 15 automatic gates;

  • Goods receiving area (expeditionary) – 1032,2 м²:
  • 10 000 euro pallet places with layers and different temperature regimes from +15°С to +25°С ;

  • Cold storage facility 750 euro pallet places with temperature regime  from +8°С to +15°С;

  • 2 refrigerating cameras for 108 euro pallets with temperature regime from +2°С to +8°С and automatic gates.

  • In 2011 Astra Logistic Ltd.  has successfully  implemented modern system of the warehouse management Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 5.0.

  • Logistics center is equipped with modern machinery and tools. Modern technologies allow to provide qualitative and uninterrupted services to our clients.

  • Warehouse machinery is provided by Toyota Material Handling (Japan) and Jungheinrich (Germany). Metal layers are by Mecalux (Germany).

  • Anti - static and anti – dust floor coverage.

  • Security system: 24 h video surveillance and guarding, limited access with individual electronic cards, fire alarm, microclimate monitoring – temperature and humidity control.

  • Autonomous heating with energy saving technologies SolarWall, modern ventilating system and air conditioning system allow to meet all strict standards for the storage of pharmaceutical products.

  • Sanitary control, regular desinfection and deratisation.

  • Autonomous premise for  recharging accumulators of the warehouse machinery.

Bonded warehouse and custom clearance


  • Astra Logistic Ltd. operates its own bonded warehouse with custom storing capacity for 4000 euro pallets and provides the following related services :
  • Storage under different temperature regimes.
  • Cargo consolidation.
  • Stock management procedures.
  • Packaging and labeling of the cargo.
  • Custom declarations.
  • Production services, insertion of instructions, labeling for secondary packaging.
